Senator High Sensitivity Smoke Detection (HSSD) Systems are Aspirating Smoke Detection Systems, designed to give very early indication of an incipient fire condition.
This pre-emptive warning provides the time necessary for controlled evacuation and to take corrective action. It avoids the danger, damage and disruption to operations that a fire can cause, thus ensuring business continuity.
Unlike point-type smoke detectors that waiting for smoke to enter the detectors, Senator detectors are active detectors. Senator detectors draw samples of air from the protected areas via sampling pipe-works and analyze for the presence of smoke.
Senator range of detectors utilizes a system of ‘Artificial Intelligence’ – an advanced statistically based signal processing technique to reduce unwanted alarms. The sensitivity of each detector is relatively scaled, ensuring a consistent level of protection by constantly varying its operating parameters to match environmental changes within the protected area.
The Senator HSSD systems are flexible and simple to install, commission, operate and maintain. The detectors can be integrated with fire extinguishing systems. They can also be interfaced with control and monitoring systems. The Senator detectors have the highest levels of performance and reliability, providing a faster method of detecting any fire occurrence.
